Meet the Editor
Rick Morgan has served as editor of SCAN: The DATA CAPTURE Report since 1996. Morgan received a BA degree in English from Edinboro University and a strong background in business. Combining the two skills sets, Morgan served as editor of Building Systems magazine for four years. Building Systems was dedicated to covering the modular-, panel- and log-home industries.
In 1996, Morgan made the transition to editor of SCAN: The DATA CAPTURE Report. Morgan quickly gained the respect of the major leaders in the Automatic Identification and Data Capture (AIDC) industry. Today, in addition to his editorial responsibilities, he often moderates panel discussions at major trade shows and trade association meetings.
His writing has gained not only the respect of the AIDC industry, but the respect of many members of the Wall Street investors community as well. Known for the fairness and accuracy in his writing, he is often referred to as the voice of the AIDC industry.
Mr. Morgan was recently accepted for membership in the AIDC 100, a prestigious group of AIDC industry pioneers and leaders.
